Beyond re-decorating the clothing you can find is unbelievable. I have lucked upon items that I would never have been able to find elsewhere. A 1940's era wool coat and a 1950's wool coat with a fur collar are two of my favorites. There are designer clothes hiding in the racks as well if you take a moment to look. One item I was thrilled to find was an Anne Klein sample skirt labeled not for sale. It was brand new and absolutely beautiful.
Books are always a great find. There are not only newer best sellers to browse through but reference books, cook books, childrens books and even entire sets of encyclopedias. Other new items are waiting to be found on many occasions. I have located a brand new cappuccino machine, toaster, kitchen cannisters and more. If you happen to break your coffee pot, (which I think we all do at least once), look for a replacement pot instead of having to purchase an entire new machine. Glass coffee pots are readily available at most thrift stores.
