Peaches and Roses - A Poem

2
Life may seem like peaches and roses,

Or a pocket full of posies.

In reality it is,

Nothing but an illusion,

Which will one day come to an end.

No God can fix it.

No it isn't fair.

Sometimes it may drag on forever,

At other times it may seem to never end.

Other times it goes too fast,

And you seem the worse for wear.

Life is a tough sale,

And it is not a choice.

Whether you get the Buick or the Royce,

It all ends the same

In a wreck and then into the scrap bin.

Life may seem like peaches and roses,

Or a pocket full of posies.

Let it seem that way,

Because much too soon,

It will end in that way.
