The BBC MI-5 Spooks Season 4 Episode Guide

This is a summary and commentary of the entire Season of Spooks MI-5 for 2005-2006. Spooks MI-5 is now in its Fifth season concluding now on BBC TV in Britain. The relevance to modern life and the fast-paced action allow people to "see" what the security services (defense forces and intelligence age
ncies) are doing.

Season 4, Episode 1-2

The Special: Parts 1 & 2

The beginning of Spooks Season 4 marks the acquisition of new officers and a saying goodbye to old ones. Danny's funeral opens the season but even the "civil service" employees gather to pay their respects, their cell phones go off. Season 4 of Spooks-MI-5 heightens the attitude of security services around the world toward multiple threats occurring daily.

The crisis is a sleekly operating well-planned faction that aims to dethrone society and bring back anarchy. Technology is the enemy, man must be "culled' down and back like an overgrown herd. Ruth fingers the ideology as the Spooks chase down 2 bombs and get them defused, not without public panic. She uses her cunning to get inside the academic ideologue promoting this group, albeit indirectly.

Meanwhile guest star Martine McCutcheon plays Tash, a tube worker who sees one of the bombers. She assists Adam when Zaf is taken prisoner and sees the inside of the Grid. When the real villain takes hold of her, Tash activates technology Colin has told her about. Martine McCutcheon starred with Hugh Grant in "Love Actually".

Season 4, Episode 3: Divided
They Fall

This episode highlights the media role in promoting party politics. A Aryan based party hack resigns as MP and begins a new agenda based on kicking out "aliens". Hate crimes ensue and Adam joins the base group doing the street work. Fiona narrows in on the MP and tries to separate him from his loyalty to the thugs who make the citizens vote to keep a police state against aliens in force.

Season 4, Episode 4: Road Trip

  • Spooks is now in Season 5 on BBC television in Britain
  • MI-5 and MI-6 are the British counterparts to the CIA and FBI, called 'spooks"
