What Exactly is News to Associated Content Editors?

In this part of my segment on news articles, I will discuss another big thing Associated Content is looking for when it is separating the rejects from the accepted news articles. This may sound very elementary, but believe it or not what I am about to say might keep you from spending one less hour of your time writing and researching something that Associated Content does not want. Besides original content, Associated Content is looking for "news." Believe it or not folks, a common comment given by Associated Content editors on rejected news articles is "This isn't news." I bet you are wondering what a comment like that could possibly mean when you got your news off of MSNBC. Certainly MSNBC thought it was news. I mean, how could something from the MTV gossip section not be news?
