Product Review: Max Factor Maxwear Lip Colors

Max Factor is an exceptional product and a great buy especially because it's so inexpensive when compared to department store brands. What makes it so great is that not only did it make my lips look sexy and luscious; it's like getting two products for the price of one. One end of the tube contains a saturated, long lasting lip color and the opposite end holds a gloss to give lips dimension. I first applied the lip color to my clean lips, expecting it to be drying but it wasn't. It takes two minutes for it to fully adhere to the lips and when it did the only thing that dried was the product, my lips still felt moisturized and moveable. I chose to buy the Cinnamon & Sugar color, and the base color is Cinnamon, which is an apricot color that matches closely with my natural lip color.
Since it the color was almost identical to my natural color, it wasn't a huge issue for me, but I did notice that the applicator brush is textured, and so it doesn't apply the color as evenly as I would like it to. Sometimes I can make out streaks on my lips when I use it, and it's very hard to fix because the color does dry so fast. I don't bother to do this since the color is so light, but if I was using a darker or brighter shade I would definitely apply or fine tune the first coat with a lip brush to get a more even application.
Even though the lip gloss is called Sugar, it's a shimmery pistachio green shade. It seems odd to apply green gloss, but it compliments the peach lip color perfectly, and it didn't look green on my lips at all, it actually left behind a soft golden glimmer. This gloss is perfect just on it's own, because it has the perfect consistency for a gloss. It doesn't feel at all heavy, gloopy, or sticky like other glosses can, but it isn't so lightweight that it slides right off. Every time I use it my lips feel soft and more moisturized but still light and clean.
