Last, I keep one notebook on my desk in front of my. I date a page each day. In it, I note work I accomplish or need to accomplish. I list and date bills that I paid, articles I wrote, payments received for articles,
ideas for new articles, notes from calls I receive, etc. If I need to track down information, I simply refer back to the date. I've tried the date planner, but I find myself needing larger spaces. I also like to organize the data in my own way. I keep spreadsheet of article payments, daily page views, page view payments and cumulative page views. I can keep track of my writing progress this way. I know that with computers and Internet, this sounds pretty old school. I works for me to have a 'scribbled note page'. It also satisfies my anal-retentive nature.
All the best to you in your work. Remember to name and claim that workspace as your own so you can manage it as you see fit. Mark your territory if necessary.
