Long known to be the benchmark for online payments, PayPal gives the advantage of simpler and more secure transactions for both buyers and sellers alike on Ebay.

Opening a PayPal account is as simple as signing up. All you have to do is go to their website, located at https://www.paypal.com, and fill out a short form, and you are now a member of PayPal. For your convenience, you may add a credit card or bank account to your PayPal account, and be secure in knowing that you do not have to enter any private information to pay for any eBay purchases. PayPal even offers a debit card to their members, and you can use it not only on Ebay, but at any other location that accepts debit cards for payment.

The convenience of PayPal for EBay Buyers

Although it is not a requirement to have a PayPal account to open your new eBay account, it is actually a very good idea to have one. PayPal is one of the most secure ways to make purchases on the web today, and the convenience of using your own PayPal account to pay for your purchases is equally as important as is the security PayPal provides for buyers and sellers alike. When making a purchase from your EBay Buyers account, the ease of using PayPal gives you a streamlined buying experience, and you can know that your personal information is secure.

PayPal eliminates the need to enter your credit card or bank information when you pay for the item you just purchased, which means you can feel safe and secure while doing your online shopping. PayPal is considered one of the safest ways to do most online shopping. It is the recommended method of payment at Bam Auction Knowhow, and is one of their suggested tips for safe buying, which can be found at http://www.bamauction.com/ebay-buying-tips.html.

A good story, but unfortunately not true. Although PayPal claims to "protect" you, further investigation reveals that, should you purchase an item on eBay and pay through PayPal, you're SOL unless the seller decides to turn up and give you your money back out of the sheer goodness of his black heart. We were recently bamboozled out of some money...as were many others...seller made off with FIVE GRAND to date, with more popping up. PayPal can do NOTHING, or so they claim. If you read their fine print, people can just come in and steal your money. Lesson learned here, unfortunately! Otherwise, good article :-) Not your fault! As long as things are peachy-keen, PayPal is your friend.
