A good breakfast is important to keeping up energy throughout the day. Whether you consume a quick bowl of cereal or a large country breakfast, you need the fuel for your body and mind. Until I started eating breakfast on the NutriSystem program, I was one of those people who just had a cup of coffee for breakfast. I can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel during the day after having a good breakfast. I am so happy that I decided to go on the NutriSystem program.

One of the new breakfasts offered by NutriSystem is the Chocolate Chip Pancake Mix, which makes 2-3 large pancakes, or about 6 silver dollar pancakes. Preparing the mix is simple: Just pour the envelope of mix with 1/3 cup of nonfat milk into a bowl and mix until smooth. Then, you pour the batter to make the size of pancakes that you want on a nonstick skillet. (Or you can lightly grease the skillet with a nonfat cooking spray.)

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pancakes were. My husband tried one without anything on it, and he loved it. The mini-chocolate morsels melt, but don't stick to the pan or anything. The flavor is rich and fabulous. I had my pancakes with sliced strawberries and a little nonfat whipped topping. Breakfast was fantastic this morning, and I can't wait to make those pancakes for breakfast again. They are even better than the "regular" chocolate chip pancake mixes that you buy in the store.

The NutriSystem food keeps surprising me, meal after meal. I was worried about starting this program because there weren't any specific food reviews available for the different foods available on NutriSystem. That is why I am reviewing all of the different foods that I sample. Som aren't that great, but most have actually been terrific. I am so pleased that I started this diet..
