While I'm in the process of reading a book called, Controlling People; By Patricia Evans, I have taken part of what I'm learning in this book, along with my own experiences and observations of people who control, in order to explain what I believe to be the motives behind some controlling people's agendas. Many people need to express their feelings with what they think are healthy assertions, but what some people are not identifying in their verbal reactions, are that they are really using oppressive and manipulative controls, not assertiveness. Act this way, and watch people begin filtering out of your life for fear of being controlled oppressively, or controlled into ways of thinking and behaving that they have not really agreed to. In my opinion, it's okay that people express their feelings and build boundaries with healthy assertions, but trampling all over someone else's emotions and boundaries to set your own is not cool, or wise, in our very volatile and aggressive society. No matter how much a person manipulates, and controls, often with imaginary issues toward others, people sense such a controller is only lying and trying to win their own seat, at their expense. Oh they say in reponse to opposition toward their controlling tactics "Welcome to the World...", or "Welcome to America. Everyone acts this way. It's the American way". But, everyone knows life is not really about dog- eat- dog; People who believe this way are immature and narrow-minded, and became this way from their own bitterness and misunderstood rage. Consider Anti-social Personality Disorder if you are being affected by someone who has no regard for you or your personal boundaries, as they try to get only what they want out of you by lying to you and deceiving you.

Did You Know?
People who use control in their relationships, and even acquaintanceships, usually get the opposite of what they want, and nobody wins.
