Comic Book Movies-The Second Part

When I first talked about comic book movies it was about the good and the bad, this time it is about the sheer amount we are getting hit with this and next year. Yes my friends, no matter how you look at it, we are going to get hit with a lot of crap. Please I suggest bracing yourself.

The first movie on the list is Ghost Rider. This could be the first comic book movie of the year. Not a bad start, but at the end of it all it leaves you a bit wanting. This movie had real promise at the beginning. It focused on Nick Cage (Johnny Blaze) with his childhood love interest and the relation ship with his ailing father. All that was fine until the deal with the devil was made. Something about that and the Rider himself was a bit off in the movie.

The second I believe is the movie 300. This is nothing short of a spectacle of a movie. Every shot is beautiful; every scene is a pleasure to watch. This movie is based on Frank Miller's Graphic Novel. This is the story of the battle at Thermopylae where 300 Spartans laid down there lives to defend Rome against the Persian army. This movie is by no means an accurate depiction of said battle but a very true interpretation of the Graphic Novel. What ever you do...see this movie. You will not be disappointed.

This brings us to Spider-man 3. This is probably the most anticipated movie of 2007. All of the original cast members from the first 2 movies are here with a few added plot twists. One of which is Thomas Haden Church who plays the character Sandman. In this movie it was revealed that he was the real killer of Uncle Ben. Weather or not this it true remains to be seen until the movie comes out. Another new character is Eddie Brock played by Topher Grace of That 70's Show fame. Spider-man 3 will prove to be a great film and a grand undertaking as Sam Raimi has just announced he will direct movies 4, 5, and 6.
