What is the one thing online weight loss programs like Weight Watchers and E-diets have in common? They don't want you to know about a web site chock full of free information and motivation on weight loss, calorie information, free diet plans and free diet menus. I will let you in on the web site. It's called Diet Bites where you can take a taste among the buffet of information and gain knowledge to become a slimmer you.

On the website you will find a site map to steer you through the massive amounts of information all at the touch of a mouse button. Even if you already have your own plan you are working with, there's tons of motivational articles on the website to look through to speed weight loss and overall health improvement.

It starts with a left column on the website with a few diet plan links. A link for over 1,000 weight loss tips, a link for calculating daily calorie needs, a nutrition index of common foods, and many more articles on weight loss advice and motivation.

To use the link to calculate your daily needs, go to www.dietbites.com and click on the link, "Calculate Daily Calorie Needs." It will take you to another web page to fill in the information. Start by selecting whether the daily calories you want to calculate are for a male or a female, fill in the box for the person's age, and fill in weight and height in feet and inches. Then check the level of activity the person is active normally in a given day. Select an option from sedentary, to lightly active, to moderately active, or to very active. For example, to fill in the boxes with a female, 28 years old, 150 pounds, 5 foot 6 inches and lightly active, she would need 2135 calories to stay that size according to the web site. That's one feature on the Diet Bites site.

Further down the column on the left of the main diet bites website there is a link for "Sweet Pea's Pantry." If you click that link you will go to another page full of information. It is loaded with links to healthy recipes. Further down the page are links to 100 free diet menus from soups to main entrees to salads, desserts, breakfasts, vegetables and beverages. It even has menus for frozen, canned, and packaged foods.
