Review of the Malibu Resort Motel in Florida

Quaint Motel in Redington Beach Florida

2
The Malibu Resort Motel is a quaint, privately owned motel halfway between Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg Beach. It is located at 17001 Gulf Boulevard in the Florida beach town of North Redington Beach. I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights there for a brief vacation.

The Malibu Resort is located directly across from the beach and is accessible to the beach via a public beach access walkway. The motel includes a heated swimming pool, a shuffle board court, two grills for residence use, and Wi Fi Internet access. The rooms are basic, including double or queen beds, cable television, refrigerator, and a sitting area consisting of a table and two chairs. The rooms with queen beds include a small sofa. There are several rooms available with full kitchens. It is also a pet friendly motel. Some of the amenities of other motel chains are not available at the Malibu Resort, but one wonders if the extras are worth the added cost. Rooms can be rented daily, three days for a less expensive rate, or for a full week or longer. Renting the rooms for a full week provides the least expensive rates. Each room is connected to the adjoining room via a locked private access door. This is convenient if families are traveling together and wish to share rooms. As rooms do not have coffee makers, the front office makes coffee available every morning.

The Malibu Resort Motel is conveniently located, within driving distance to all attractions in the area, including the much talked about St John's Pass Boardwalk Mall. The motel is located between two piers for those who love to fish or merely take in the beauty of the surrounding beaches. The motel has an adjoining restaurant called the Parmigian Restaurant serving Northern Italian Cuisine and is open for dinner daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. There is also a mini mall across the access road, complete with a beach store, a small convenient post office, and a local restaurant named the Frog Pond that serves both breakfast and lunch.
