After being disappointed by a $30 face mask that was supposed to make my skin flawless, I purchased this affordable mask by Freeman's at a local Walgreen's recently so that I could whip my formerly radiant, spot-free
complexion back in shape. The masque's label claimed that the product purges pores, and purifies the skin, but I wasn't really expecting great results because the it's so inexpensive and I'd never tried a Freeman product before, but after trying it I was really happy that I bought it.
The mask was really easy to apply, and when it first comes out of the tube it feels wet and thick like a gel, but it has to be applied fairly quickly because it dries fast, and it can become really sticky. It also should be applied thoroughly and evenly in order to get the masque to peel off properly.
What's great about the masque is the fact that it contains Vitamin C which is an antioxidant, as well as a whole plethora of fruit and natural extracts. It includes extracts of grapefruit, grapefruit seed, apple, aloe and even sugar cane in its ingredients. All these work to create a really gentle, but effective formula that didn't leave my skin irritated or stripped of moisture as it dried. It's so mild that it can even be used more than once a week if your skin needs a boost.
The masque takes about ten to twelve minutes to set, before it's ready to be peeled off. The peel-off part makes the masque fun to use, but it's really hard to get it to come off in large pieces, so sometimes I'm left with little fragments of the masque on my face that have to be rinsed away, which sort of defeats the purpose of using a peel-off masque, but that's my only complaint, because once my face is rinsed and dried my skin looks so much better than it did before I applied it.
The masque leaves my pores looking either tight or almost non-existent. If I happen to have a blemish or two, the masque helps to reduce the size of them, but better than that it makes the skin around it feel soothed and just plain healthy. Overall, whenever I use the masque my skin glows afterwards and looks refreshed and nourished.
