When you are a high school or college school student, you are invariably low on money. I know this, mainly because I've experienced it first-hand, and recently too. There are plenty of hardships that come along with this not having any money, but there are a few benefits. And the most important benefit is this: you discover all of the free things to do in your particular area. I decided that, having gained such invaluable knowledge through long and arduous searching, I would provide the best of my findings here for you so that you can sit blissfully comfortable, and learn all the best of what I know. I hope this is some help for you.

For all you nature lovers: Try hiking through Chapin Forest. It's a beautiful park filled with hiking trails. There are some of the most beautiful scenic overlooks available for viewing in this part of Ohio. A twenty-minute ride from Cleveland, and you'll be looking at some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine.

For something a little tamer: try Penitentiary Glenn. Not only are there more beautiful hiking trails, but there's a Nature Center, complete with hands-on exhibits, and live animals. This is a great place to take the family if you can't make the commute to the zoo.

For beach bums: Love the beach, but can't quite budget a trip to California? Yeah, me too. I suggest Mentor Headlands Beach. In addition to a huge (and more importantly, very clean) beach, there is also a very picturesque lighthouse, free parking, bathrooms, and you guessed it-hiking trails. If you're particularly fond of fishing, and get the urge late at night to go out and grab up some grouper (or whatever type of fishes are swimming around Lake Erie), there is also a 24-hour access fishing area.
