Located off Highway 11 in Pickens County, Aunt Sue's is a rustic retreat. The quaint restaurant with adjoining shops has become nearly legendary in these parts. It's hard to know where to start. Aunt Sue's restaurant adjoins a little strip of specialty and hobby shops. You can purchase hand-crafted stained glass, homemade soap, wood carvings by local artists, and much more. One of the stores even has an indoor sluice box, where prospectors can "mine" for gemstones. Kids will love visiting the Animaland House where they can create their very own personalized stuffed animals.
