There seems to be much racism and hatred in this country towards Muslims. But why? Well for starters ignorance fuels fears and fears fuel hatred. Knowledge is power and knowledge can set people free from stereotypical fears. Are all Muslims bad? NO. Are some Muslims bad? Yes. There is bad
 in every religion, race, nationality and creed.

To stop any outrage first off, let me first tell you where I stand. I am a Christian who believes in God. Do I believe that this country should adopt the Muslim ways and customs? NO. But I do believe that we still live in a country of freedom of religion and that everyone one should still be free from persecution to practice what ever religion they choose to practice. I also believe that just because I do not believe in another person's ways , does not mean that I can show them disrespect. With that said I am going to walk you through the basics of the Muslim religion.

First off Muslim is an extension of Christianity. Muslims believe in God, they just call him Allah. To the Muslims Jesus was a messenger of God. Unlike mainstream Christians who believe he was the son of God. Not to different so far from what mainstream Christians believe. After all Jews don't believe that Jesus was the son of God either. But the majority of this country don't fear Jews right?

Now let's look at the six basic beliefs of the Muslim religion and lets see if it differs to much from what we believe.

1. Muslims believe there is only one God. ( Which they call Allah)

Ok God has been called many things to even Christians but it still remains that he is God and that there is only one.

2. Muslims believe in all of the sacred texts. The Bible, Qur'an and the Torah.

Christians believe in the Bible. Mormons are Christians and they believe in the Book of Mormon. So once again Muslims really don't differ that much.

3. Muslims believe in God's messengers.

A lot of Christian religions believe in prophets.

4. Muslims believe in angels.

Hey so does the majority of this world. Can't call them insane on this point either.

5. Muslims believe in Judgment Day. Heaven and Hell.

cont' post. For one thing it does not serve the purposes of powerful governments that are hot for war against Muslim countries who dare to stand up to them and say "no we do not want your ways, our ways are enough for us." this is part and parcel of the main problem. Muslims do not want war, but they will defend themselves from attack as any self respecting people would of any given country.

Amen to those who do understand that like Christians and Jews, we Muslims want to live in peace. The disgusting acts committed by terrorists are not any reflection on the rest of us. We grow tired of defending our religion against those who have twisted it for their own evil purposes. Those who think that killing and committing suicide will lead them to Paradise are soo very wrong. God forbids killing except if an enemy is forcing your hand or trying to force you out of your homes and disrupting your daily life without provocation. Look it up in the Quran for yourselves, and not look to the media to present what Islam really is, 3/4s of the time it is never a correct or true picture. We Muslims who love peace and want to live in peace, have spoken out numerous times denouncing these acts committed by those who claim Islam is their religion but do not follow its basic premise, of taking life without just cause, but we are not heard or believed. I believe in freedom of religion, it is key to a democratic and free state. Freedom of religion works however, when those given the freedom are also willing to respect such freedom. For instance, Buddhist and Christians get along for the most part because their religion does not dictate them to attack each other. But what about when freedom of religion itself becomes a threat not only to religious freedom, but to all sorts of human rights Western civilization has strived to attain? It's a tough question. Do I believe all Muslims are evil? NO, I know that Islamist are a minority...yet, those Muslims who are not terrorist do nothing to undermine or discredit the jihadist interpretations of Islam. I dont think it is worth to spend time writing about such a filthy sect as islam is. Read the web site below through and you will wake up, even if you are muslim. 99,99 percent of the muslims are borned in that hell and cannot leave it because of fear. I could not said it better myself. islam is evil. Any human being with a little bit of IQ I think is realizing that. But it seems that no one dares speaking it out. Because then the GOOD and PEACE LOVING islam will shoot all kind of FATWA's on you. islam should be forbidden if this planet will have any future. Just look at what the muslims are doing with the christian Assyrians in iraq. The Assyrians are the indogenious people of iraq and most countries surronding it. Soon the muslims have taken over the whole middle east. The only democracy in the middle east is ISRAEL, and that is because they are not muslems. islam and democracy is like fire and water. Wee need to poor a lot more water on the fire and dig this evis and perversed sect under the ground. Islam is NOT A RELIGION. The Koran is a book for low IQ satanists. Arcoding the garbage calld Koran, the only way to be muslim is to kill (or force convertion of ) the non-mulsim. Muslim is pure evil and should be banned from earth. All religions have committed horrible things in the past, but MUSLIMS are the only ones still commiting crime on a DAILY basis. Every single muslims should be expell from all civilise country and dump into muslim controlled countries and those country should be totally isolated from the rest of the world. Mulsim is a stain in human history that need to be exterminated.. and no, muslims do not have rights of anykind, as coackroach don;t have rights.... Sorry, but your article is strictly from an apologist's view. You use generalizations and very little in-depth analysis bordering on ad hominem arguments. I would suggest that you dig deeper and present a more well-rounded view of the issues. And by the way, I am a Muslim!

You are an inspiration. I am a Muslim and i think You are amazing. i am an early teen Muslim who is a proud citizen of America and i also think it is very awesome for people who think that not all Muslims are evil. Some Muslims are evil and some aren't and i am certaintly not one of those who are evil. I am completely saddened about the Muslims who are bombing themselves and accepting suicide. The funny thing is that Suicide is against our religion and some muslims believe if they KILL THEMSELVES for Allah(SWT)they wil go to heaven . No! suicide will not lead you 2 heaven even if its for the sake of God. Muslims just want to live in peace not in hate.
