BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Phoenix, Arizona: Review

My spouse and I had recently moved to the Phoenix, Arizona area in June. When my birthday rolled around in August, I was really interested in going to dinner at a unique, fun, and sort of upscale restaurant. In passing, I had seen this restaurant that had really caught my eye. It is called BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, located at 9748 West Northern Avenue. Their operating hours are 11am- 12am Monday-Thursday, 11am - 1am Friday-Saturday, and 11am- 11pm Sunday.

Anyways, the atmosphere was awesome! When you enter the restaurant, it is through a large, revolving door, into the main entry way where the hostess, cheerfully greets you. The walls are very tall, light granite. The bar is located to the left. You can't miss it with the very large, dark wood shelves lined with practically any alcohol bottle you could think of. In front of us and to the right, was the large dining area. The walls were very unique and interesting with paintings and objects. It was nice to look around at; not too loud or distracting! The dining area has both booths and tables. The booths were all large enough to fit 6 to 8 people, sort of a half moon shape. We were seated in one of the booths along a wall, looking into another room, more for large parties. It was interesting, because the "windows" were actually garage doors! I remember the tables being of very good quality. Beautifully colored and probably had at least 15 coats of clear!

BJ's brews their own beer! The list has 7 types ranging from light to dark on tap at all times, and seasonal ones, as well. My boyfriend ordered a light-medium variation, which he liked a lot! He said he's never tasted a beer so good! I can't remember the price or size of the beer exactly, but it was a normal size glass, maybe for $7 at the most.
