If you are looking for a new action-shooter game for your PC you are in luck. F.E.A.R. has recently come available and it is proving to be one of the best and most intense action-shooters around. The story begins with a multi-billion dollar aerospace facility being taken over by a paramilitary force. This force takes hostages but issues no demands. The government sends in a special operations team to take care of the situation. However, they are all massacred! The military leaders see live footage of this massacre, along with a strange force of destruction that leaves them all confused.
This is where you step in. You are not a soldier, but a weapon. The president turns to you because you have been specially trained for this sort of situation. You are armed with experimental and hi-tech weapons. You are given the authority to use any means necessary to end the situation. It is soon discovered that supernatural forces may be involved...
You will be pitted against hoards of intelligent and aggressive enemies. These foes will coordinate their attacks to pin you. Some will be heavily armored. There are even assassins that will hide above you on the ceiling, ready to pounce on you as you sneak below them. What do you have to take them on? Some of your weapons are: corkscrew missile launcher, rapid-fire battle cannon, a sub-nuclear blaster, and others.
This game has got to be one of the best shooters around. Not only is the story epic and gripping, but the graphics and effects are astounding! F.E.A.R. features the new Havoc 2 Game dynamics. This system allows for a very convincing and real action filled environment. When you shoot an enemy, their blood spills and they fall to their death in a dramatic, yet realistic manner. When you shoot or push objects, they react to you. Some effects are displayed in slow motion, which is highly amusing.
