An Interview with American Idol Carrie Underwood: What is She Up To?

It's been two fast years since Carrie Underwood won season four of American Idol. In those two years she has won country awards, Grammys, and sold more than six millions copies of her debut, outselling any Idol's debut in six seasons. What is she up to now? Take a look as I get personal with the Idol superstar.

KCFAN: I first want to congradulate you on winning your three new awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards! Yet more trophies to add to your collection.
CU: I know it's amazing. I am really thankful and blessed for all that I've been a part of. I never thought in a million years I would be winning Grammys and performing for people I grew up listening to.

KCFAN: So that's five ACMA's, one American Music Award, two People's Choice,five Billboard awards, two Country Music Awards, and two Grammys. You have sold over six million copies of Some Hearts now, making you the best selling Idol in America.
CU: It really is just a fairy-tale come true.

KCFAN: You did a tour in 2006, and now you're working on your second album. I'm sure full details aren't available but I've seen titles you've written and performed show up on BMI and ASCAP websites. Titles such as "Never Get Used To You" and "Everybody Cries." Any information you'd like to give on your forth-coming record?
CU: Yes, we are still recording. I have received a great selection of songs, and I have written some myself. There are others being considered for the album too such as "The Truth Hurts" and "The Lazy Day Song" that I wrote on as well. Writing has been a different experience. I didn't have a lot of say on my last record.
