Mother's Day is literally right around the corner and there's about a million things you can do for that special mom-many of which have been done to death already. If you've got a few afternoons on your hands, a nice amount of pictures and some creativity then you're definitely in the market for doing something just a little bit different. Make her a fan site! Usually, fan sites are dedicated to celebrities but whom better to make a website for than someone who actually makes your life all the sweeter? Fan sites can usually take forever to build and require a bit of HTML knowledge, but even if you're not adept in that area you're still capable of making one.

Plenty of free hosting sites offer the ability to use templates or be guided through the entire process. This simplistic approach to site building allows even young children to get involved and put their own message up on the site for mommy. One of the better hosting sites is Freewebs.com, which won't bog down the special website with ads and things of that nature.

Signing up for just about any site building host is pretty simplistic and all you'll need is an active email address to activate the account and go to business.

Following the steps you'll be able to create numerous sections to the site, but you should take care of the main page to begin with. Construct a message from the entire family that lets the special mom know how much you care about her. Don't be afraid to include pictures of the family or better yet, the special mom-try to make sure the picture is as flattering as possible. Posting a picture of her disheveled in the morning isn't something you want all of her co-workers or friends to see.

Once that's done you can go ahead and take care of the different pages that will be linked to on the main site. Each member of the family should construct their own page to show how much they appreciate mom. The children can have loads of fun with this, putting up pictures and music as far as their creativity takes them. Poems, memories, and everything else they can come up should be encouraged so they feel as though they're actually a part of the team.
