Come to NYC for a June Getaway Weekend

A New York Food Festival, A New York Parade and the New York Tonys adds up to one jam packed summer weekend in NYC. The weekend of June 9-10 2007 is really the first chance NYC gets to have an abundance of outdoor events and with three major events going on all weekend, your days will be filled with entertainment, food and fun NYC Style. It is time to escape from the inside world to the outside world, at least for a weekend, and start to celebrate the warmth of the weather, and the warmth of the NYC people.

The Fifth Annual Big Apple BBQ will turn Madison Square Park into one big party the weekend of June 9 and 10th. Combine enough food to feed a small army with free jazz, blues, bluegrass and R&B and the park becomes a sample of America from all over the country. Every region of the country has its own version of BBQ and with pit masters from New York, Massachusetts, Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and South Carolina, and with more signing up every day, you can get a taste of the best from border to border, sea to sea. This is the first year for this type of honor, so all you Ricky Martin fans try and come out and help him celebrate.
