Ann Arbor, MI - This reporter has obtained exclusive information that if proven correct could bring one of the most storied college athletic departments in the United States into at the very least an embarrassing situation.

On one side is Bill Martin, the athletic director at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Martin, who spent one year as acting President of the United States Olympic Committee and has been the athletic director at the university since 2000 also holds a MBA and an art degree as well as founded the Bank of Ann Arbor. Martin also served as president of the United States Sailing Association from 1988-1991.

On the other side of the controversy is local sports personality and until recently sports talk radio show host, David A. Shand. Shand, a former University of Michigan hockey player, hockey coach, retired National Hockey League player also played in a European league for a team that won the championship there. Shand holds a law degree and practices sports law as well as teaches at the university. Interestingly, Shand was the last person to talk to famed Michigan football coach Glenn "Bo" Schembechler on the air just minutes prior to the death of Schembechler in late 2006. His morning talk show, "Inside the Locker Room" was the second highest rated show in its market.

The problem with Dave wasn't what he was saying it was what that some people didn't like his "attitude". Not a good thing to do with a practicing lawyer like Dave.

I don't understand why this guy was fired. This is ridiculous. Censorship is going too far. I'm all for censoring graphic sexual talk, racial slurs, profanity...but come on, people. If you don't like someone's show don't listen to it.
