This historic bed and breakfast, built in 1845, was the original home of the Bank of Montreal in Kingston. The first floor served as the bank while the second and third floors were the home of the bank manager and his family. By the time it became an inn in 2000, Frontenac had numerous incarnations including an officer's club for the 14th Battalion and a housing establishment for writers, artists, and students and faculty of nearby Queen's University.
