Garth Brooks retired from his singing career after his divorce from wife Sandy in 2001. At that time he became a stay at home dad to his three daughters.
Since 2001 the only time he did any concerts was in 2005 and this was for a number of different charity events.
Garth Brooks will perform in Las Vegas at the Encore Theater in the Wynn Casino and Hotel. The theaters last headliner was Danny Gans who died in May 2009.
Garth Brooks Las Vegas shows will be a lot different from his concerts of the past. He will be performing solo with no band. The only instrument will be his guitar. Garth Brooks plans to have special guests which will make every show different and unique.
Tickets for Garth Brooks show will be sold on a first come, first served basis. There will be one ticket price for everyone. The ticket price will be $125.00. The tickets for Garth Brooks first Las Vegas shows will go on sale on October 24, 2009.
Garth Brooks will have a five year run at the Wynn Las Vegas Casino and Hotel. He will perform shows for four months and will do four shows a week during that time. His first shows will be December 11-13, 2009. He will not perform again until January 2010.
Garth Brooks is only doing weekend shows because he wants to be home with his daughters during the week.
