A friend and I were searching for a casual restaurant to eat at. A restaurant that we found was La Mexicana Taqueria located in Citrus Heights, California. We both enjoyed La Mexicana Taqueria for many reasons.

The service is outstanding. When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with smiles by many of the employees. We walked up to the menu board and thought for a few minutes what we wanted to order. The order taker asked if we were ready to order. My friend asked, "What does the fiesta tostada have?" The order taker said, "It comes with a large flour tortilla shell filled with ground beef, beans, cheese, chili sauce, lettuce, guacamole and sour cream." My friend thought that sounded wonderful so that was what she ordered. I ordered the special burrito, which came with a large flour tortilla stuffed with chili verde, chicken, beans, cheese Spanish rice and topped with sour cream. The order taker rang up our order, handed us the receipt and told us to have a seat and soon someone would bring us our meal. Our meal was brought to us within seven minutes. The service was friendly, quick and efficient.

The atmosphere was simple and clean. The place was fairly small with about fifteen different tables. There were some pictures of Mexico on the walls. The place appears a bit old. I think it is a great place to eat if you want to get a quick bite. The utensils and glasses were free of debris. The windows and doors were free of debris. The restaurant was clean and free of trash. The women's restroom was clean, free of odor and stocked well.

La Mexicana Taqueria have a wide variety of Mexican dishes. For example, they have fajitas platters such as beef, chicken and steak. They have steak ranchero, shrimp a la Mexicana, chicken mole and more. The process of the food ranges between $10 to $25 dollars. The most expensive dish is the shrimp fajita platter. My friend and I enjoyed our meals. My friend said, "This tostada was really good. I love all the fresh ingredients that came with the tostada." I enjoyed the burrito. The burrito was filled with different ingredients that really fill up the belly.
