Easy Barefoot Sandals: Thread Crochet Beach Sandals

I grew up barefoot. If it was summer, there was no place I couldn't go without my shoes and in the winter the uncomfortable things were shed the moment I was inside the house.

And yet, there's something essentially feminine about decorating your feet - whether it be toe rings, nail polish, or some form of foot covering. Socks will never do during the heat of summer, though. We want to bare our skin to the sun and soak in the warmth, and
our toes don't want to be left out!

These barefoot sandals (or beach sandals) are quick to make using crochet thread and create a pretty, feminine foot decoration that will fit most women's feet. You'll be able to whip both feet up in just a few minutes and head out the door with your new "shoes" deliciously displaying!

To keep the pattern very easy, there are no abbreviations used.

I wish I understood crocheting terms! I have a vague idea of crocheting (I can do the single stitch!) but the terms are beyond me! I am currently trying to 'guess' how to make these on my own... they're so pretty! If I can get it, I hope to make several out of hemp, placing some beads on. They'd be great to sell.

Great article. I grew up barefoot too. I hate shoes and socks. I've never heard of this. Very feminine.I wish I could crochet. This would have also been great as a video. Bye
