Tempest
Blindsided, thrown for a loop;
I never saw it coming:
the changes which have overtaken me
and left me on my knees.

The peaceful Garden of Eden
once harmonious and calm,
has now become a tempest
raging inside my very soul.

The joy, the peace, the still
I carried in me once
is now chaotic confusion

doubt, fear, anger, pain.  

I don't really know you;
I guess I never did.
This is not the man I thought so much of
the one who promised more.

I've been blindsided, thrown for a loop;
I never saw it coming:
the changes which have overtaken you
have left me on my knees.

I pray for you and I pray for me
but not for what you think;
I only pray for peace for us
as we go our separate ways.

I went through a similar relationship in my life where the man I thought I knew, loved, and trusted...I found out most everything he said to me were lies, he was not the man he claimed to be in any manner. There is no more painful feeling in the world than betrayal. I hope you will find it within you to take the time to truly heal, I am still in my healing process. God Bless You.
