Taylor Swift is a popular American Country singer, song writer, guitarist and even actress. Taylor Swift began writing music at the young age of 10, and soon began to practice singing with karaoke contests and local music events in her hometown of Wyomissing, PA. Swift soon began to pursue a music career by trying to perform at a local malls talent showcase. By the age of 15 she was offered a deal with RCA records. She rejected their offer due to part of the contract, and was soon signed to Big Machine Records.

In October 2006 she then released her self titled debut album which soon led to five hit singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. This caused her album to become triple platinum. Since then Taylor Swift has only gained more popularity with more record releases, constant media attention, and several awards for her music career.
