Bush Doing What He Can to Change History - or at Least How it is Remembered
Conspiracy believers have spoken about how the governments of the world have attempted to change how history is remembered for their own personal gains. It has been said that President George Bush is a prime example of someone who is taking strides to
cause US citizens to remember history the way he wants history to be remembered.
Conspiracy believers, theorists, and truth seekers have a great argument with a piece of film. This piece of film has been circulating around conspiracy sites all night. It is a prime example of President George Bush trying to make us forget one of his worst moments.
If you go to www.whitehouse.gov, you will find the official site for the White House. At the top right corner of the page, you will see a search bar. If you type in, "May 2003," you will be sent to another page.
The second or third item down the search list will show, "News Archive - May, 2003." Click on this link, and go down to the bottom of the page.
You will find a segment for May 1, 2003 entitled, "President Bush Announces Major Combat Operations in Iraq Have Ended." Just underneath this, you will see a video link. If you click on this link, you will see the video in question. Granted, you could hit the link at the bottom of this page, but I wanted to make sure that you did not walk away wondering if I, or someone else altered this video.
You will see President Bush's address to the troops on a aircraft carrier. You will notice immediately that there is a big black bar on the bottom of the screen. At first glance you might wonder what is being covered up down there. There is nothing being covered up on the bottom, it is the to that is in question.
If you try to remember back to when you saw this video on TV for the first time, you will remember that there was a big banner up at the top of the screen. The video has been moved up so that the banner cannot be seen in this video. That banner read, "Mission Accomplished."
We all know now that the mission was not accomplished at that time. Four years later, the mission is still not accomplished.
