I read quite a bit awhile back about the 9/12 tea party, and most of it was arguing about insignificant things, such as how many people showed up. I don't care whether it was 60,000 in DC or 2 million; let's not get
distracted by that.
The whole point is that we are about to finish destroying the greatest country on earth. Americans are beginning to realize what we are doing. Rightfully so, they are getting VERY ANGRY.
A look at a few of the issues:
Debt
Money does not grow on trees. Money is scarce (limited in supply). Washington does not understand this, nor do they need to since the FED will gladly print money for them.
Both parties are guilty of creating this crisis. Foreign nations won't keep buying our debt, and it will become obvious to them that we won't be paying it back. Americans will face higher taxes but this won't be enough to cover it. That's where the printing press (or more and more often, entering the digits on a keyboard) will fill the gap. Bringing on such economic turmoil will leave the average American family in devastation.
Taxes
Taxed Enough Already
Oppressive taxes is a characteristic of oppressive government. We are already working almost half a year just to get our taxes paid. Expect significant increases in the near future- it is inevitable with the huge rise in spending. Of course this will further cripple the economy.
Freedom
No other nation has been able to offer so much freedom, liberty, and opportunity to the common man.
With such great freedom comes great responsibility. Countless power hungry individuals would love to control your lives, and they will find subtle ways to do that. Whether it is the Patriot Act, demanding that you buy health insurance, getting mandatory H1N1 vaccinations, or facing a fine if you don't wear a seat belt.
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for any assumption of power. The Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -Daniel Webster
