The slider design of the Sony Ericsson Yari is simple yet beautiful. It has got a 2.4 inch TFT LCD display with 240x320 resolution and the display is great. The two dedicated gaming buttons are placed above the display which launches gaming menu and it can also be used as controls while playing games horizontally. D-pad is placed under the screen and you can assign four shortcuts to it. The main keypad of the Sony Ericsson Yari consists of 12Keys and they're very neatly designed. All the keys are big and easy to press. Overall, this phone is very slim and compact with just over 100 grams of weight.
Performance
Sony Ericsson Yari has got gesture control gaming which you can find on Nintendo Wii and this is the first mobile to feature these controls. I've played cricket game in it and the gesture controls worked very well. Just open the game and put the phone on the chair or table. Now, stand in front of the phone and imagine you have a cricket bat in your hand and start hitting the ball. Sony Ericsson Yari will detect your motion with the help of secondary camera.
Sony Ericsson Yari has got very good sound quality and the walkman 4 player is great. The interface of the walkman 4 player is very simple and it also provides clear bass and mega bass feature. Background graphics of the walkman are pretty ordinary. Sony Ericsson Yari also supports FM radio.
Sony Ericsson Yari got a huge 5.0MP camera with good image quality and the interface of the camera is just like previous Sony Ericsson phones. Additionally, camera got auto focus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, Face detection and image stabilization. Video recording of Sony Ericsson Yari is disappointing. It records 240x320 resolution videos at 30fps.
This phone also features GPS, HSDPA, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth, USB, YouTube application, Accelerometer sensor but no WIFI.
