GodFather of Soul Speaks Through Don Imus!
James Brown Selects Don Imus from Beyond
In that brief overview, I spoke of how James Brown had requested that Michael Jackson return to music. This was based upon news reports and interviews done by Reverend Al Sharpton. The Reverend Sharpton stated that prior to his death, The Godfather of Soul, James Brown was not pleased with the state of the music industry. Reverend Sharpton went on to state that the Godfather wanted change in music so that it would get back to uplifting people and not downgrading people with derogatory words and negative name calling.
So, is it not interesting that less than six (6) months after the death of the Godfather of Soul, Don Imus makes a statement about (well we know what it was), a certain group of young ladies?
I must say that as the national debate raged on, I sought to find answers to this debate and what it was intended to do. It hit me the other day and I realized that Don Imus not only spawned a debate about Free Speech in America, he was also the catalyst that is propelling both Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to address those issues that Mr. Brown was concerned about.....cleaning up the music industry.
I know, that this might sound a little crazy and irrational but stay with me on this. Take for example, the movie GHOST starring Whoppi Goldberg and Patrick Swayze. If you remember , the Goldberg character was inhabited by the spirit of the Swayze character in order to help his wife solve the mystery of his death/murder. Are you getting it now? Ok, so if we follow the GHOST movie, we see that ghosts do not discriminate. They simply choose living bodies that are open and well, will help them accomplish the work they could not finish in life.
