Times have changed. Groom parties are an alternative to the traditional bachelor parties. Groom parties are very similar to bridal shower parties. The focus of the parties are for the groom.Who normally hosts the groom parties? Typically the best man will set up the groom parties. They will be held either at the best man's house or the groom's house. Many professional offices do groom parties as a way of honoring the groom.
What exactly is a groom party? A groom party is great fun. The men get together and give presents for the groom. They normally do some gag gifts. These are absolutely hilarious if you have the right crowd giving them! Like the counter part bridal parties, groom parties have cake, munchies and games. It is totally up to the groom and the best man how the groom party will run.
Who attends a groom party? The best man and the groom's bridal party will attend the groom party. The male ushers. The father of the bride and the father of the groom also attend these parties. Similar to the bridal shower parties, women would not traditionally attend a groom party.
Is there a registry for a groom party? Absolutely there are registries for groom parties. There are several hardware supply stores that take groom registries. There are also large retail stores that are now offering groom registries. Many stores will set up a groom registry if you ask them to. After all it gives them more business!
How long before the wedding do you hold a groom party? It is up to the groom or the best man to decide how far ahead of the wedding to throw the groom party. Some people have parties a few weeks and others just a few days before the wedding.
Do groom parties replace bachelor parties? Groom parties and bachelor parties are two totally different types of parties. The focus on the groom parties is gifts that the groom can use in his marriage. The focus on bachelor parties is totally different. It is up to the couple, the best man and the groom if they will throw both types of parties.
