Women Vs. Men: Ten Things Women Do Better Than Men
Women can multitask better than men. Studies have shown that women use more parts of their brains when given a wide variety of verbal and spatial tasks as opposed to men. As a result women can cook dinner, watch children, plan for meetings the following day, and assist with homework all at the same time. If you must drive near someone engaged in a conversation on a busy highway, you would likely want it to be a woman based on her ability to multitask. I have heard it said that men drive to the intensity of their conversation. If they are having a pleasant discussion, they would likely be driving slowly. If they are upset about something and talking on the phone while driving; they may drive fast exhibiting aggressive driving skills.
Women communicate better than men. Studies suggest that women can process about 20,000 words per day verses 7,000 that men process. Women have approximately 11% more brain cells in the planum temporale area of the brain. This area assists with perceiving and processing language. Women can speak at a speed of 250 words a minute and have 11% more neurons in the area of the brain devoted to emotions and memory. Women are genetically inclined from birth to be better communicators than men. We are at a great disadvantage when trying to have detailed discussions with our husbands at the end of the day. I'm sure most of us ladies have rushed home to tell our husband about an exciting event that took place full of details and we were so excited to share. Then when we finished our story, we ask a question to hear him say "really"? At that moment we question is he in a trance or is his brain simply genetically incapable of communicating? Most likely he has exhausted his communication efforts during the day leaving him at a loss for words after hearing our detailed story. At least we have an explanation for the occasional lapse in sensitivity.
