Introducing Opera, a super fast lightweight web browser. Opera is an incredible web browser. It has become my favorite for surfing the web. I cannot believe how few people actually know it exists. Especially when so many people surf the web on it every day.
Opera, for those of you that don't know, is the most common web browser on cell phones. Most people just don't know it. Cell phone programmers like Opera because it has the advantage of being an extremely small program. That allows it to run on devices that have limited storage
options, like cell phones and iTouch's. Do not let its size fool you though. Opera is incredibly powerful and surprisingly full of features for something so small.
Opera has many more features that make web browsing more enjoyable. It has a movable tab bar, which is unique. Opera will let you move your tab bar to any edge of the browser window. It has a feature that lets you set up a speed dial homepage with thumbnails of your most visited sites. That can really speed up your browsing by having your most visited sites in a preload mode. Making it ultra fast and convenient to get to your favorite site.
Opera has a ton of features, but key among them is its ability to speed up your page load times. Opera has a Turbo mode that can drastically speed up your browsing. While in turbo mode Opera compresses all of the pictures on the page you're downloading. That significantly reduces page load times, and makes surfing the web much more enjoyable. That makes Opera the perfect browser for people who have dial up connections and even for the people on slow Wi-Fi spots. People with older computers would notice a vast improvement also.
With so much of Opera's focus on speed and other features you might think that it cannot be secure. You could not be more wrong. Many "techsperts" consider Opera the most secure browser out there. It has to be if it is going to be the main cell phone browser. It also has anonymity working for it. All those evil hackers spend most of their time working on getting past Internet Explorer because it is by far the most common web browser on home PC's and laptops.
