Attention Fashionistas! Jimmy Choo is Coming to an H&M Near You!
While surfing the 'net today, I learned that renowned designer, Jimmy Choo, has designed a line of shoes and bags that will be in H&M stores just in time for Holiday 2009! The H&M website (www.hm.com) currently features a teaser-slide show of some of the looks that will be available in this collection, and mentions that the entire collection will be available to view (but not purchase) on the website on Thursday; October 29, 2009.
Jimmy Choo shoes typically retail for well over $350 and go up to nearly $1000 a pair. This line of his cutting edge, new designs done just for retailer H&M presents an opportunity for nearly anyone to purchase a pair, since prices start at only $99 and do not appear to go up over $200! For young fashionistas (or for that matter, anyone who has had to put her inner-fashionista on hold due to the recession), this is a terrific opportunity to own a beautiful and well crafted product that will be the coveted item of the season!
Here's where it gets ugly.....
H&M stores will offer these beautiful shoes and handbags for sale beginning on Saturday, November 14th. Stores will open at regular times (or so they say...I plan to call my local store early the week before to confirm their operating hours) and lines are anticipated. The first 160 people into each store will be given bracelets that hold their place in line and permit them into the special cordoned off shoe area of the store at opening. Each person entering the store is allowed to purchase no more than one of each item in the collection (I theorize that ebay is going to go NUTS that afternoon!), and if a customer is not one of the top 160, (s)he gets what is leftover.
For these gorgeous products, I think an early trip to the mall would be worthwhile. Jimmy Choo shoes are coveted items that are going to be on everyone's best dressed list this winter, mainly due to this huge, one-time release of them at affordable prices. I think the Jimmy Choo corporation should be commended for their timely efforts which let women know that even during tough financial times, it is still possible to enjoy fashion and be beautiful!
