Places for Your Philadelphia Day Trip

When summer comes and you are running out of ideas on how to keep the kids both busy and happy, consider taking a day trip to one of the special places in the Philadelphia area. The Franklin Institute Science Museum has something for everyone, from Ancient Egypt to the stars in the sky for a day trip that is both educational and fun for the whole family. The kids will love it, no matter what the feature is. The Fels' Planetarium is the oldest in the country, but it has the most up to date equipment available. The New Jersey Aquarium is located in Camden, just 5 miles from Philadelphia. They have permanent exhibits like Penguin Island, The West African River Experience and Shark Realm. Even if you have been here before, you will want to come just to see the new hands on exhibits they have just added, Creature Feature, Rainforest Rendezvous, Interactive Inlet, West African River Experience Platform and Touch-a-Shark. You can even get to swim with the sharks. Check out the web site. There are different charges depending on what you want to do, some of the features have extra charges beyond the admission price.
