With many fans holding up signs "Bald is Beautiful," Tuesday night of May 1st, Stacey rocked the house with Bon Jovi's song, "Blades of Glory." Paula Abdul announced that his performance was the season's best opener, and got praise from Randy Jackson, but it just wasn't enough for America to keep Stacey in the running. Stacey's performances over the last few weeks just seem to have gotten better as his ability was just beginning to really shine. During country week, when he sang, "The Change," Stacey wowed us all with his song and that's when Simon Cowell told Stacey that he had finally found his niche. Country music seems to be the best place for Stacey to continue on his road to success in the music industry.
Stacey's father was a pastor, so he had been singing since he was young in church. And not only does Stacey sing, but he also likes to play piano, guitar, bass, and drums. Along with performing, Stacey also does some song writing too. American Idol won't be the last that we see of Phil Stacey. With all of the faith that his fans have in him, as well as his wife and newborn children, Phil still has a career in the music field. Perhaps within the next year or so, it could be a possibility that we see a CD from one of our favorite Idols, Phil Stacey. His heart and warm smile touched us all.
Along with Phil Stacey on Wednesday night, Chris Richardson was also voted off. The other contestant on the bottom with Chris was Blake Lewis. They both announced that friendship wouldn't come to an end if either of them were voted off, because they knew they were going on tour with each other. It was a sad night to see both of these talented young men voted off of American Idol. But America hasn't seen the last of either of these two singers.
