Do you have leftover scrapbook supplies that you'll probably never use? Most scrap-booking enthusiasts do. Don't throw the items away or let them take up all the room in your supplies folder, use them to decorate other parts of the house.

Many people who scrap purchase a pack of tags, labels, cutouts and other items just to use one or two in the pack. The remainder of the pack is often left unused. But, there are many ways to use them in your living room, bedroom, den, and other areas of the home.

Everyone has pictures in picture frames. Why not use some of your scrapbook items to enhance the photos around your house? Use tags that have the year or even the season written on them, to tell more about the photo. Slide a "My Bundle of Joy" tag into a picture frame containing your son or daughter when they were newborns. Or, use scrapbook borders to form a frame around the photo, then place in a real frame.

There's all sorts of scrapbook supplies that you can use to enhance photos in picture frames. Use foil embossed emblems, small banners, cut-outs and other papers. Use alphabet letter stickers, around the actual picture frame, to spell out "Our Vacation", "Our Wedding Day", "Our Anniversary", and other captions.

Place a picture in a frame that's much larger than the picture. Use a colored piece of paper as the background then apply stickers, writings, banners, cut-outs and other supplies to decorate around the picture, across the bottom or top, or down the sides of the photo.

Kids will love decorating their bedroom door with scrapbook supplies. Cover the door with clear peel-n-stick shelf paper to protect the door from stickers and tape. The shelf paper peels right off when you're ready for a change. Let kids put photos of themselves and their friends, in scrapbook frames, up on the door. Then they can use borders to section off areas of interest, stickers to spell out names or attach captions, and cutouts to embellish the entire design. They can attach satin ribbons or even ribbons they've won at school special events.
