Creating and swapping Art Trading Cards can be simple, fun, quick and easy. They can also be complex, time consuming and thought provoking works of art. There is really no wrong way to create an ATC and the possibilities are endless. They can be created by children, teenagers, adults and seniors. Men and women alike are catching the ATC craze. They can be created by professional artists, and beginners with all levels of artistic abilities.
There are just a few standard rules that you will need to know when making Art Trading Cards. The dimensions of the card must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Most important, Art Trading Cards are traded, and never ever sold. Cards that are sold are not referred to as ATC's, but as "art card, editions and originals" or ACEO. There is one main principle behind creating Art Trading Cards, and that is to connect and collect with other artists. Art Trading Cards are not about making money.
