Do you want to know the sex of your baby before it is born? Perhaps you want to know the true identity of the father. You may want to know more about who your ancestors are or whether that new relative in your life is really your relative. You can now find out answers to all those questions with a credit card, the Internet, and a few days time. The "Tell Me Pink or Blue Early Gender Test" can now be purchased from DNA Worldwide, located in the United Kingdom. You can test yourself at home, send the samples to the lab, and in about a week, start decorating your nursery with the right color.

DNA Worldwide says, in a study done in the UK, they found that over 70% of expectant parents want to know the sex of their unborn baby and now, you can purchase kits from DNA Worlwide to answer - is it a boy or a girl? The kits are not without controversy, however. The company will not ship kits to China or India, and officials from some pro-life organizations are concerned that parents who receive results without counseling, may abort the unborn child if it is not the desired sex. To combat criticism, the company has posted this ethics message on their web site:

"The company operates in the UK, a liberal society that does not prize babies of one sex over another, a culture which also places the responsibility for the unborn baby firmly with the mother. As this is the case with most if not all Western cultures we are happy that, with education and informed debate, responsibility should lie with the individual."

Technology certainly is moving right along. Good idea for paternity and such. I always liked the element of surprise when expecting but I can understand wanting to know your baby's sex.
