Most people will not think about throwing a party for a kindergarten graduation. But more and more schools are now having graduation ceremonies for kindergarten. It helps the little ones to see that they are rewarded for all of their hard work. So why not throw them a graduation party to further congratulate them. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you would like to have it. What most parents choose to do is of course make it a surprise party. Kids love surprises especially when it is a party. The first thing you will want to do is get your list together.

You will of course want to invite the family, but make sure you also invite your child's friends. You may want to avoid inviting your child's entire kindergarten class, especially if there were some they did not get along with. But if your child got along well with everyone and if you have room to accommodate them all why not. At least one month prior to the last day of school you will want to make sure you have all of the parents telephone numbers and address of all the children you want to invite. If it is going to be a surprise for your child, make sure that you mention this to the parents. You will also want to make sure that you include a RSVP date on the invitations this way you will be able to get a final head count. The point of getting the final head count is to make sure that you will have enough food prepared.

The next thing that you will want to do is decide on a location. For most summer parties especially for small children parents choose to use the parks that have pools. It is a very affordable way to have a party for your child and you can invite as many people as you like. If money is not an issue however, you could choose to rent a room at one of your local children's places like gymboree, or chuck -e-cheese to name just a few. But since the majority of parents these days are on a budget this article will focus more on the inexpensive ways to have a graduation party for your little one.

Takeaways
  • Graduation parties do not have to just be for teenagers graduating high school.
  • Your child should understand that you are proud of their accomplishments.
  • They have a very large variety especially for children of this age group.
