Life at Stonehill College in Massachusetts
What's so Good About Small?
Small There is no other way to say it. Stonehill is a small college. Still it is a college at which small can be really attractive. For example small means a faculty student ratio of 1:14 which means students can contact faculty more easily when need be and can expect that a greater number of their classes will allow for regular give and take. It means that there will be fewer huge lecture halls and less anonymity in class. There is a real chance that most of your professors will actually know who you are. If that's important to you then life at Stonehill College may be worth a further look
Small also means that getting across campus doesn't require a bike or a 20 minute walk. Your day is shortened, your on campus travel expedited and your leisure time expanded because Stonehill is not a mega campus with a hundred buildings and multiple quads.
Small means that your graduating class from college may not be incredibly larger than the size of your high school graduating class and you may really get to know most of its members by name.
Small means that the college can actually offer all of its students on campus housing and no one feels the pinch of having to locate an off campus apartment who doesn't really want to do so. There is a lot of good that Stonehill College has managed to derive from its smallness. Students who choose life at Stonehill will benefit from all of it.
