One of the worst things that you can do while writing on Associated Content is to get grouped into one niche of writing. One of the keys to success on Associated Content is to diversify your writing.

If you only write in one niche on Associated Content, people will look at an article with your name on it and automatically figure that it is an article on a certain topic. There are many writers on Associated Content that will only write celebrity articles, sports articles, or religious articles. There are some writers that are only known for their political articles, or humor.

These Content Producers are rarely extremely successful on Associated Content. Their articles are often passed up because of a belief that they will just be rehashing something written in the past.

Niche writing does have certain advantages. There are people that will search for your content because you have a similar interest, but not many. You end up becoming locked into one style of writing, and this can cause for writer's block from time to time.

Instead, your writing should be as diverse as Associated Content is. I am not saying that you should write on every topic, but that you should have a good range of topics that you do write on.

In this sense, you will gain more readership because you appeal to a wider audience. Some people will subscribe to you because they like one kind of article or another.

Take my writing, for example. There are certain people that search for my political articles, while others will look for my offbeat news stories. Some will spend a lot of time reading my articles on writing tips, or on my travel tips for Las Vegas. Some will find that they enjoy my nostalgia articles. I cannot be grouped into just one category.

There are many other writers that have become very successful on Associated Content by doing what I am doing. Timothy Sexton, who is probably the most diverse writer on Associated Content and was named, "Associated Content's Content Producer of the Year," last year for this reason.

I agree to a degree. There are a few who write under multiple pseudonyms, with each pseudonym holding a speciality, and that seems to work well. I can't write on a single theme to save my soul. But it's a lot easier to build a career overall if you just write on a single topic, like travel or parenting. It's all about what your professional goals are.
