Stephanie Pratt Busted for DUI in Hollywood
'The Hills' Star Stephanie Pratt Joins Long List of Celebrities Charged with a DUI
Reality television star Stephanie Pratt, 23, has been charged with suspicion of a DUI, according to a report from TV Guide. "The Hills" star was arrested in Hollywood on October 23 and released the next morning after posting $5,000 bail.Stephanie Pratt is the younger sister of Spencer Pratt, who, like his little sister, is a reality television personality. Spencer Pratt is married to Heidi Pratt, who - you guessed it! - is a reality television star (she is also trying to forge a career as a singer, but many feel she shouldn't quit her day job).
And now Stephanie Pratt can add a charge of DUI to her resume. It is a dubious distinction that many celebrities share with the comely young Ms. Pratt. When will these bigwigs learn that you ought not drink and drive?
Back in 2006, actor Mel Gibson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in Malibu, California. The arrest caused a media frenzy when at least one of the arresting officer alleged that Mel Gibson flew into a rage and made anti-semitic remarks. In addition, it was widely reported that Gibson referred to one of the female officers as sugar t-ts. Gibson reportedly joined AA and performed public service work as a result of the arrest and has not had any public issues with alcohol since. To my knowledge, he has not had any trouble with Jews either - but he has had trouble with women - namely his wife, who filed for divorce
In September of this year, actress Heather Locklear - who still looks stunning at 47 despite the fact that her mug shot is less than flattering - was charged with driving under the influence of prescription medication in ritzy Montecito, California.
Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence in Hollywood, California in September of 2007. The actor, who is best know for starring in the enormously popular "24," has a history of DUI arrests. He was charged with the crime in 2004 and 1989.
