Christmas Tree Farms - Berks County, Pennsylvania

I look forward to the hot co-co with marshmallows after our family decides together which Christmas tree to cut and buy. We live in the Fleetwood area of Berks county Pennsylvania where Mennonite and Amish are seen riding in a horse drawn buggy. We are relatively new to this part of the state, so I had to do some research to find some good spots to find the perfect Christmas tree and would like to share my information with you.

In order of closeness to the Fleetwood/Blandon Pennsylvania area I will start with Lenhart's Tree Farm in Mertztown, PA. This little family owned tree farm is nestled between Fleetwood and Topton. The cut trees are $5.45 per foot plus tax. A Douglas fir will run you $11.00 per foot plus tax. All prices are subject to change without notice. They have already allowed people to start tagging their trees the first part of October. So it's not too early to start looking for a wonderful tree from 9 - 4 pm on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

If you want to give your family the whole Christmas experience with a wagon ride and a chance to sit on Santa's knee, Sheerlund Forests is where you want to look to buy your Christmas tree. Sheerlund is also family owned and has been running for 100 years in Reading, PA. The 24 minute trip from the Fleetwood/Blandon area is well worth the drive. They have complimentary hot chocolate and cookies too! It is truly a memory builder for the whole family and could grow into a wonderful tradition for years to come!

A restored barn from the 1800's with a gift shop for mom is included at Cobblestone Farms. This cozy little homestead is just 29 minutes from the Fleetwood/Blandon area in Mohnton, PA. They have seven different varieties of trees to choose from and you can start buying cut trees the day after Thanksgiving. Their fields are also now open to tag your tree early.

I'm excited to go get a Christmas tree this year with my kids and hope you are as well! I hope my picks will be helpful to you in making a decision as to where to go. No matter where you choose, don't miss the opportunity to make it a fun filled special event that you and your family will remember for years.
