Coat Drive for Those in Need

Thanksgiving is a time when people traditionally gather with their families to give thanks. They consider all of the things that have happened over the previous year and share it together. It is a time of family, good food and fun. Many people at this time of year cannot afford to have a Thanksgiving. In fact many of them can't even afford to get a coat for the cold weather. It is for this reason that Albuquerque has a coat drive at several locations each year. Below are some of the locations that hold a coat drive, winter clothing drive and Thanksgiving winter clothing drives.

There you may drop your donation off at the main office. There is generally a box that is clearly marked for this use. You may ask at the front desk if you have any questions. Generally speaking it is clear where to leave your donations.

Another place to drop of your Thanksgiving clothing drives, winter coat drives, clothing drives donations is at local Wal-Mart, Jenny Craig, New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union, the New Mexico Army National Guard, Hot Shot Services and Star Bright Cleaners and all Molina Healthcare centers. Your cash donations can be made at NM Educators Federal Credit Union.

If you have the ability to share with others at this time of year please consider making a donation at one of these places. Also check with your local churches and synagogues. There are many places that offer this sort of collecting service. These locations frequently have meals that they offer as well at Thanksgiving time. Check about what you can offer these places. They frequently need volunteers for these events. So check around at your local community centers.
