It Will Be an Adventure at Mohegan Bluffs

For a great adventure when you are on Block Island, you will want to stop and see Mohegan Bluffs. One tip, it is pretty high up, so if you are afraid of heights, you might not want to look down. For the adventurous, you can get down to the beach on Mohegan Bluffs by taking the wooden stairs down to the sand below. You might want to have someone tall and strong go first down the wooden steps and take a deep breath in relief when you get down to the bottom. This is a one hundred and fifty foot drop to the sand below. You will not want to carry too many heavy things to this beach with you, because you have to remember, you have to carry it all back up the steps with you. That can be a mighty pain, if you brought too many heavy things with you. Travel light and you will be grateful that you did.

When you are on this beach, you will find it to be very nice and relaxing. There are picnic tables for your convenience. You may also engage in fishing when you are on Mohegan Bluffs Beach. This is also a great place to take a stroll along the shoreline and gather some unique seashells. Then, get in some swimming and relaxing because you have to climb back up to the top again. It is all in a day's work and it is worth it because the scenery is so beautiful.

Once you make your trek back up to the top, you will be in the mood for a great meal at one of Block Island's fine restaurants. Make sure that you try out as many of them as you can when you are visiting Block Island. Then, it will be time for you to go out and have a beer and relax.

Mohegan Bluffs will remain in your memory for years to come because it is a very interesting place to visit. Make sure that you take pictures when you are there of the top view and the view from the beach below. You will also want to get some great shots of the Southeast Lighthouse. It is truly awesome, the scenery that you will find. Mohegan Bluffs is worth the visit, so make sure that you make it a must see when you are on Block Island.
