Are you living the apartment life, and you want a dog? There are so many rules and restrictions for pet owing when living in an apartment. They say you can only have small dog breeds. What kind of small dog breeds are out there?

I have composed a list of 4 great apartment dogs listed below. Next to the breed's name you'll find: height, weight, life span, temperament, living conditions, and health problems.

I have also published another article on 3 great apartment dogs, so if you haven't looked at it, you should look at it. It'll give you a couple more ideas toward your new apartment dog.

Havanese:

Height: The height of this breed will not vary between the two genders. Both male and female will stay to be 8-11 inches (20-28cm) tall.

Weight: The weight of this breed will not vary between the two genders. Both male and female will stay to be 7-13 pounds (3-6kg).

Temperament: This breed is a natural companion dog. They are also highly intelligent, gentle, excellent with children, and playful.

Life span: They will live to be about 13-15 years old.

Living conditions: This breed will do good living the apartment life. They are fairly active indoors, and do not require a yard. Litter training is possible with this breed.

Health problems: The Havanese is very healthy in younger years, but will sometimes get health problems when older: poodle eye, dry skin, cataracts, and PRA.

Coton De Tulear:

Height: The height of this breed will not vary between the two genders. Both male and female will stay to be 10-12 inches (25-30cm) tall.

Weight: The weight of this breed will not vary between the two genders. Both male and female will stay to be 12-15 pounds (5.5-7kg).

Temperament: This breed is very sociable with other dog breeds. The Coton de tulear is alert, gentle, friendly, affectionate, and kind toward children.

Life span: About 13-16 years.

Living Conditions: Great apartment dog, though they are highly active indoors. This breed will do fine without a yard because they can be litter trained.

Health problems: This breed has no known reoccurring illnesses throughout its blood. +
