Father's Day Gift Ideas for the Sports Fanatic

It is that time of year again when America celebrates its fathers. Dear old dad can always be a difficult person to shop for, but with a little help, you may be able to come up with that perfect gift idea for Father's Day. Here are some Father's Day gift ideas for the sports fanatic.

It is baseball season, and what is more American than baseball? If you live on the continental U.S., chances are there is a baseball stadium within a reasonable driving distance from your father's house. So, why not pick up a pair of baseball tickets to a home game for your father's favorite team? Baseball tickets range in price depending on the stadium and where you want to sit. But most ticket prices are relatively affordable and readily available. (Unless, of course, you live in or around Boston's Fenway Park).

If you and your dad cannot head out to a game, stop at your local sports memorabilia store, and pick up something your father would not normally buy for himself. Something autographed would be truly special. Sports memorabilia stores offer signed jerseys, baseballs, footballs, helmets, pennants, framed pictures, and the like. One of these items would be perfect if your father has a den or special room in which to display it.

If your father is a golfer, consider purchasing him a new set of clubs. There is nothing a golfing fanatic values more than new clubs. Along with giving dear old dad a new set of clubs, make a date for a golf outing with your father. If you don't golf yourself, you might want to make it miniature golf.
